Car Detailing on a Budget

Washing Your Car

When it comes to washing your ride it's not likely that you'll be willing to sink the money on auto body soap. You might be tempted to use other household supplies like laundry and dish soap to get the job done on the cheap, but these substances can actually damage your Orlando Toyota car's paint. Instead you can make makeshift car soap with hair conditioner and water. This can help your paint repel water and enhance the shine.

Interior Cleaning

Cleaning your interior usually involves microfiber cloths and specifically formulated cleaning supplies. If you don't have the right supplies lying around you can always use olive oil and a soft cloth. A few drops of oil can cure lackluster vinyl and plastic surfaces and SofTex trim. For cloth seats, don't waste your money on expensive shampoos and cleaners! You can always use soap, water, and a sponge to scrub any stains.

Window Cleaning

Cleaning your vehicle's glass surfaces can be quite a challenge but it's essential to give yourself the clearest view when driving. Instead of opting for harmful ammonia based cleaners that can damage your glass and tint, use white vinegar and water along with strong paper. This can gently clean away smudges and preserve your tint job all at an affordable price.

Hard to Remove Debris

Things like bird droppings and lovebug remains are particularly difficult to remove from your vehicle's paint. If you don't have something like goo-gone lying around, WD-40 can do the trick! A greasy substance is safe to use on Orlando vehicle paint and can help lift the difficult to remove substance.

Bad Smells

Offensive and lingering odors can truly put a damper on your drive. Instead of using a spray and forget it type of product, try using baking soda. This natural odor absorber is cheap and easy to apply. Simply sprinkle it onto your seats and carpet, let it sit for a few hours, and then vacuum it up. A small bag of charcoal can also be used to absorb odd smells.
